Share a profile

Save one profile as a file you can send to someone else.

Sharing saves a single profile as a .fluidzones file. You send the file however you like, and the other person imports it.

Share#

  1. Right-click the profile in the sidebar and choose Share….
  2. Choose where to save the file. It is named after the profile, for example Deep-Work.fluidzones.
  3. Send the file by AirDrop, email, chat or any other way.

Receive#

The other person presses Import at the bottom of their sidebar and picks the file. .fluidzones and .json files are both accepted.

Tips and limits#

  • The file includes the custom layouts the profile uses.
  • Apps outside /Applications, /System/Applications and ~/Applications are dropped when importing.
  • Imported profiles count toward the free plan's 3-profile limit.
