Restore on launch
Bring windows back to the exact positions you saved when you launch a profile.
This feature is part of FluidZones Premium.
If a profile has saved positions, FluidZones can use them instead of the layout. Restoring only happens as part of a launch.
When you launch#
If the profile has a snapshot, an alert asks Restore window positions? with two choices: Restore uses your saved positions, Use Layout uses the layout of each app. Check Remember my choice for this scene to stop being asked.
Change the preference#
At the bottom of Launch Sequence, the row Restore saved positions on launch lets you choose:
- Ask every time
- Always restore
- Never restore
It is saved per profile, and the row only appears when the profile has a snapshot.
Tips and limits#
- If an app has a zone on a monitor that is connected, the zone wins over the snapshot, so a snapshot taken with a monitor unplugged cannot drag windows to the wrong screen.
- Needs Premium and the Accessibility permission.
