Window layout presets
Place each app in a half, quarter or third of the screen with one click.
Every app in a profile can have its own layout. When you launch, its window moves into that part of the screen.
Choose a layout for an app#
- In Launch Sequence, find the app's row.
- Open its layout picker, which shows the current layout.
- Choose a preset. It saves right away. Choose — no layout to leave the window where the app puts it.
The presets#
| Group | Presets |
|---|---|
| Halves and full | Full Left Right Top Bottom |
| Quarters | Top-Left Top-Right Bot-Left Bot-Right |
| Columns | Center Half First Third Center Third Last Third First Two Thirds Last Two Thirds |
| Full screen | Fullscreen |
Tips and limits#
- Fullscreen is native macOS full screen, different from Full, and is meant for profiles with a single app.
- You can mix presets freely across the apps of a profile.
- Slow or stubborn apps get several correction passes after launch, so a window may settle a moment after it opens.
- For layouts beyond these 16, see Custom layouts (Premium).
