Smart Schedules

Launch a profile automatically on the days and time you choose.

This feature is part of FluidZones Premium.

On this page

Set a time and days, and FluidZones launches the profile for you, with a heads-up beforehand.

Create a schedule#

  1. On the profile's row in the sidebar, press Schedule.
  2. Turn the toggle on and choose the time: step it in 15-minute increments, use a preset (7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 12:00, 17:00) or click the time to type an exact minute.
  3. Pick the days of the week.
  4. Save. The row shows a badge with the summary, for example "Mon-Fri 9:00", or Paused if the toggle is off.

To edit, click the badge. To remove it, use Remove schedule.

What happens at the time#

Ten minutes before, a notification offers Launch now, Snooze 15 min and Skip today. If you do nothing, the profile launches on time.

  • If you are in a call or have a full-screen app in front, the launch waits until you are free (up to 2 hours), then launches or tells you it was skipped.
  • It is not a strict clock: if your Mac was asleep, the profile still launches when it becomes usable within 2 hours of the scheduled time. While the screen is locked nothing launches; it catches up right after you unlock.

Tips and limits#

  • FluidZones has to be running. Turn on Open at login so schedules can fire after a restart. The schedule editor warns you if it is off.
  • Allow notifications in macOS to see the heads-up. The editor warns you if they are off.
  • Without Premium, Schedule shows a lock and opens the trial prompt.
